How long do I need to stop oral contraceptive pills before I can get preganant?

Oral contraceptive pills just have short term contraceptive effect. They do not delay the return of your fertility after you stop taking them. Unless you use other contraceptive methods, you have the chance of getting preganant once you stop the pills.

If I accidentally get pregnant while taking the oral contraceptive pills, will it be harmful to my baby?

There is no significant difference in the risks of birth defects for women who have ever taken the contraceptive pills or who are pregnant when taking the pills, when compared with the non-users.
