Fees and Charges for Maternal & Child Health and Woman Health Services
The list of charges payable, with effect from 26 June 2017, at Government polyclinics, clinics and other institutions is given below.
- Definitions of Eligible Persons and Non-eligible Persons
- Patients falling into the following categories are eligible for the rates of charges applicable to Eligible Persons:
- A holder of HKID Card issued under the Registration of Persons Ordinance (Chapter 177), except those who obtained their HKID Card by virtue of a previous permission to land or remain in Hong Kong granted to them and for whom such permission has expired or ceased to be valid;
- Children who are Hong Kong residents and under 11 years of age;
- Other persons approved by the Director of Health.
- For other patients, the rates of charges applicable to Non-eligible Persons will apply.
- Patients falling into the following categories are eligible for the rates of charges applicable to Eligible Persons:
- The Director of Health will determine the eligibility of patients to whom the rates of charges will apply.
- The Director of Health has powers to require a deposit of part or the whole of the fees likely to be incurred by any patient.
- Unless otherwise specified or agreed by the Director of Health, all charges specified in this notice are payable in advance or on demand by the Director of Health.
- The Director of Health has powers, in his discretion to waive, reduce or remit the whole or any part of the fees chargeable at any institution under his control or for the service of a Consultant or a Medical Officer outside a Government institution.

Note 1: Including vaccines under “The Hong Kong Childhood Immunisation Programme” (excluding Pneumococcal Vaccine, Varicella Vaccine and MMRV Vaccine)
Note 2: For non local expectant mothers, please bring the “Certificate on Confirmed Antenatal and Delivery Booking” issued by the Hospital Authority.
Please bring along the valid and original copy of Certificate of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Recipients (for Medical Waivers) or Certificate for Waiver of Medical Charges.
For child health, vaccinations, family planning, cervical screening and woman health services, GF 181 / Try 447 / HA 181 is not accepted.
A Level 0 Voucher Holder of the Pilot Scheme on Residential Care Service Voucher for the Elderly should bring along the valid and original copy of certificate to waive the charges.
