Narrator: How to prepare baby's formula feed. When baby is hungry, have formula milk ready. Making up formula milk, first bring tap water to the boil. Avoid using bottled mineral water as they contain minerals that may exceed baby's daily needs and are not suitable for making up formula milk.

Narrator: If using distilled bottled water, it has to be boiled before use. Leave the boiled water to cool for no more than 30 minutes.

Narrator: The water is now ready to prepare formula milk. If baby is aged under 6 months, use boiled water no less than 70°C in order to kill any harmful bacteria in the milk powder.

Narrator: Wash hands with soap and water and dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.

Narrator: When the bottle is ready, add the amount of hot water needed to prepare the formula and double-check for a correct water level.

Narrator: Milk powder is measured using level scoops. Using scoop provided inside the can.

Super: Use the scoop that is provided with the formula

Narrator: Loosely fill the provided scoop with milk powder and level it off using the flat edge of a clean, dry knife or the in-pack leveller provided. Do not compress the milk powder into the scoop.

Narrator: Ensuring that the level of the water is lower than the bottle cap. Lastly, dry the surface of your bottle. Once the formula milk is ready, test its temperature by placing a few drops of milk on the inside of your wrist. Formula that feels warm is ready for baby's feeding. Formula milk for baby should always be freshly prepared before every feed and consumed within 2 hours. Dispose of any unfinished formula milk. Safeguard baby's health by always carefully following these steps when making up formula.
